At the end of their first year at the Polytechnic; Maggie and Towera were keen to learn more beyond the class work and decided to join other technology enthusiasts at mHub to sharpen their skills. Soon, the two were on to a fulfilling journey of discovering web design and development using Notepad++. Within two months; the two girls had mastered HTML, CSS, PHP and Java such that they were able to build appealing and mobile responsive websites.
mHub facilitated linkages between the duo and two law firms for which they built websites at a fee; which motivated the two to register their own company.
When Growing Ambitions; an initiative that supports school girl drop outs to go back to school knocked on the mHub looking for a website for their initiative; Maggie and Towera were keen to take up the challenge as a social responsibility. They thus built the Growing Ambitions website at no cost as a way to give back to fellow girls and motivate them to go on with their education.
